About us
The Borno State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development is dedicated to empowering women, promoting gender equality, and advancing the welfare of vulnerable groups including children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. In the context of post-conflict recovery and rebuilding, the Ministry plays a vital role in restoring dignity, ensuring protection, and supporting inclusive development.
We design and implement programs that foster women’s participation in governance, economic empowerment, social inclusion, and protection from gender-based violence. The Ministry also oversees social welfare services, child protection initiatives, and community development efforts that uplift families and rebuild resilience across communities.
